If you have followed I AM Liberty at all over the three years it’s been around you have heard us talk about the very controversial topic of impending extreme drought in the West. On a planet that is ¾ water it is very tough to convince people that we have problems with water both in the third world and right here in America. It has reared its head like nothing we have ever seen. I have reported sparsely on these stories as they came to light but tonight we go into detail on the current situation at home in California.
How often do you think about your access to clean potable water? Do you have water stored? Do you have a means to filter water? Is there a water source in your area? All of these considerations seem a little over the top for your average American. There are towns in CA right now that have had water shut off to them. The above questions do not only hold weight but they become life and death questions that must be answered.
Could you imagine a time when where farmers would sell their water shares rather than produce the food that sustains the country? The time has come. I also want to talk about water shortage across the world as well as its effects at home. It’s a very real issue that doesn’t get the press it deserves. Of course there are bottling companies syphoning water out of these water starved areas both here and abroad. The ugly side of capitalism and the real effect that government regulation could have to stop these companies.
