Daisy’s Black Bean Soup

Taken from The Prepared Prepper’s Cookbook

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of dried black beans
  • 1 large can of diced tomatoes
  • 2 Tbs. of chili powder
  • 1 can of corn
  • 1/4 cup of dehydrated bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup dehydrated onion
  • Salt and garlic powder to taste
  • 6 cups of water

Directions:
Mix all ingredients except corn into a large pot. Bring to a boil and then simmer, with a lid on, for about 4-6 hours. Add corn during the last hour so it stays firm. We eat this with corn bread or corn tortillas.
